What is a Cron and what do they do?

Cron Jobs allow you to automate certain commands or scripts on your server to complete repetitive tasks automatically.
We use crons for performing many activities such as Inventory consumption, Order push to OMS, Cache Refresh etc. All these crons are scheduled at specific time. These may have frequency of Hourly/daily/ weekly or whatever we may decide.
The crons jobs can also be executed at the unscheduled time if required. This can be done from the Cron Screen in the Kartify. Please navigate to System>Tools>Cron

Price Filter Cron

It fetches the price of products and creates a filter in the left navigation on the category page.

Size Filter Cron

Discount Filter

It fetches the Price and discounted price and then calculates the discount percentage for each product. It then creates a discount filter in the left navigation.

UpdateProductStatus Cron

It updates the product status – Enables or disables them, depending on the inventory. It disables out of stock products. Executing this cron and then clearing cache will remove all the out of stock products from website.

Cut Size Cron

This cron pushes all the products which have cut sizes at the end of the Product list on Category page. We usually consider cut size to be those product which have inventory available for less than 3 options.

Product related mapping

It maps related products to a particular product. Related products are usually seen at the bottom of the Product display page or at the cart page.

The feed is used for running catalog ads on google and facebook. This cron updates the feed and therefore this cron must be executed whenever there is any catalog update. Don’t forget to clear the cache after this.

CCavenue order lookup Cron

This cron brings all the orders from CCavenue for which the payment was made. It then looks up in Kartify to check for orders which are not yet processed but the payment has been deducted. It then changes the order status for the order and processes it.

PayTm Order lookup Cron

PhonePe Order Look up Cron

Push Products To Search Plug

Search Plug is an enhanced feature of Kartify. It powers Category/Product listing page and Search page of the website. To make it work, all product related data has to be pushed to SearchPlug. This Cron job essentially does that. It pushes the product data with the latest inventory, updated prices and other attributes to search plug which are then fetched on Category and Search pages. It will also enable the disabled products for which new inventory has come.

Delete Products from Searchplug

This deleted all the products which have 0 inventory from the search plug database to ensure these products do not appear on Category and Search pages.

Push orders to Arvind

This cron pushes the orders to Arvind. These orders should be placed on the website in the last 30 days and still not pushed.
